Last week I tried to recreate a salad I love from Star Bar. Basic salad with greens, bacon, sunflower seeds, tomatoes, carrots and then I get it with this yummy citrus vinaigrette. Shoulda, woulda, coulda been so good...but it just wasn't. I didn't have a recipe for the dressing, so I went online and found this one. It was considerably less than the crisp, citrusy bite I was looking for. In fact, I think I could have made it into a glaze for a cake.
Anyway, I made it in this fantastic shamrock fiesta bowl from my parent's friend Sheila. Thanks much Sheila--can't wait to bring this out for St. Patrick's Day.
