Just when I stopped looking and thinking about shoes for Italy, I found them! They were so cute and shiny, I couldn't resist. It was the red patent leather ones that pulled me in, but I sensibly went with a burgundy pair that could look black or brown depending on the outfit. 
I may have to keep my eyes out for the red brick ones too, they are divine!
