First you elevate the tree on a side table from Ikea.
Then you place anything that resembles a ball up above curious pups.
Then you let said curious puppy sniff the lights.
Proceed with decorating (albeit a little sad and sparse without half the ornaments) and cover the table with holiday table clothes.

Oh, how cute! Wally has not touched all those shiny balls on the silly tree. He is too afraid of the lights to get too close.
Micky was freaked out by the lights, which is why I let him sniff them first. Seriously, when I turned them on, he jumped back about 2 feet:) But then his curiousity got the best of him.
