Molly Steinwald Photography

I'm looking to add a print with cerulean blue to the living room. We have a pillow and a lamp with that color and I think adding a print would continue the color scheme. Which reminded me of a print I had seen in Molly Steinwald's etsy shop when I bought this picture.

This is the one I was thinking of.

And I like these too.

Panoramic and Birds Eye View Maps

Found these old school city maps from Rainfall.com. What I found most interesting is some of the small towns with maps. For instance, the town where I grew up doesn't have a map but the small village (or whatever you want to call it) that is sort of annexed to it does have a map. Weird, but cool. All of these are towns I've lived in, or we have family living there or have some type of history with.

I found Stephen Fowler's Gemini Studio through Apartment Therapy this week. Amazing how the things you read so easily dovetail with you own life, right? I love his style.

Iowa Art on Etsy

Some good friends are moving away from this great city, so I've been looking for a Iowa going-away gift. Found these on etsy.

I'm not sure how I came across this shop, but I really like the mix of reimagined and natural materials for home decoration.

Minneapolis, you ain't so tough

This weekend we are off to the Cities to see friends, family and some of my old haunts. Micheal Birawer's art always reminds me of the good times I had living there. When I was doing PR for the Uptown Art Fair, I would gather work from local artists who were showing that year for preview segments on the local TV stations. I would try to pick a variety of mediums, but I always chose the ones I liked too. We did an early morning shot with Michael, and he and his wife were so awesomely nice.

Jellybeans Etsy Shop

Today is turning out to be Etsy day. I have two prints from the Jellybeans shop, one of which you can see here. I love the whimsy and the colors, and I'm a total sucker for art that involves trees.

Found a really cute etsy shop called 32 Lives. She's all about turning some people's trash into someone else's treasure.

More Lighthouse Prints

While these aren't lighthouse blueprints, I think these Alan Claude prints are just divine. Makes me wish I was doing a lighthouse theme in our house!

Search for Lighthouse Blueprints

My friend Sarah was wondering I knew of any resources for lighthouse blueprints to frame in her newly repainted living room. Oh, how I love to research! So far I've only found three actual lighthouse blueprints for purchase as a print. I found the bottom two on eBay and the top one on a web site for the lighthouse. I'm going to keep looking for a maritime museum or lighthouse museum. Etsy had tons of pictures and prints, but no blueprints.

And cafepress has some interesting stuff, as always. Not interesting to purchase, but rather to look at and wonder why?
