This weekend I finally got around to hanging some pictures above the couch. I could have, oh I don't know straightened up a bit, but here you go.

New Things

Quite unexpectedly, but at just the right time, we got a new car this weekend. We drove through the road of windmills on the way to get it in Beatrice (pronouced Bee-AT-rice), NE.
A hybrid, yay! We also bought a couch this weekend. It isn't as big as this picture and ours is a lovely moss/slate color, but the search is over!
Photo from here.

More Couches

Soooooo, this couch didn't work out. We are going to be near a couple of Room & Board stores next weekend, so we'll give these two a whirl.
Did you know its not easy to find a sectional for a house built in 1922?

Could This be our Couch?

Maybe...could be. Just need to give it a test drive the next time we are near a Macy's. If you happen to find yourself with some time to kill in a Macy's with furniture, its the Doss Apartment Sofa. Feel free to sit, lay or lounge on it and report back on comfort, look and feel.

Velvet Studio Couch

This velvet couch is from Nate Berkus for the Home Shopping Network. I think it would look so great in the corner of our living room.So goodlooking. Picture from here.

Couches on the brain

I'm officially at the point of earnest couch shopping/perusing. Its time, but I'm finding it overwhelming. I think this is just on of those tasks that is going to take a lot of research. These couches from Macy's are pretty good looking.
The decision process is mind boggling. Velvet, microfiber or fabric? Maybe leather? Sectional that doesn't dwarf our 1922 living room. Sectional and chaise? Not too high, not too low. What color?

Here's to you daily blogging

I think the first part of 2009 will be all about couches. Much like the great shoe hunt of '08, it will take much time, patience, research, testing and fretting.

We want a sectional cause they are so comfy and great when you have guests. It has to fit comfortably in a rectangular room and be roommates with a 42 inch plasma and built in wall o' shelves and fireplace. These ones are all from Pottery Barn. So many more sites and stores to peruse!
