This Week in Yaays and Boooos

Yaaaayyyy

Decorating and playing with snow and ice. Ice vase is from Design*Sponge and table is from Apartment Therapy.

Cute kitchen remodel from AT.

Awesome bags and totes made from Hmong baby carriers. Dazzling Lana, found via Jillian Frances. (I love when someone else does the Etsy work for you!)

Cooking with different kinds of salt from Our Best Bites. Image of table salt from Wikipedia.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

NBC, Jay Leno, NBC management. Boo, boo, boo. I'm with Coco! I don't know where the image is from, my friend Carrie sent it to me.

Need a Good Layering Turtleneck?

Found! I picked up this ultrafine turtleneck in grey last week and it is the perfect layering turtleneck. Stretchy, lightweight and long, it will work great under a jacket or dress. Very flattering.

And while I don't personally need a new fall bag, I saw this one in the store in mustard and it was BEAUTIFUL!

Cognac, I Think I Love You

Okay, not the drink, but the color. So often overlooked, rarely given its fair due. Too many deep, dark browns crowding out the space where deep, rich, caramely cognac things should be. So I am forced to go online to slake my thirst.

1154 Lill

My friend Camby turned me on to 1154 Lill, where you can design your own purses in their store or online. I got them for the ladies in our wedding party as party of their thank you gift and I regret not taking a picture of all the bags. It was really fun to pick them out in the Chicago store. You can pick the fabrics for the strap, flap, body of the bag and buckles. I find it immensely satisfying to create imaginary bags.

First Anniversary is Paper

Anthony got me the greatest gifts for our anniversary--two bags made from woven recycled paper from Engage Green. I love the sentiment and sustainability. My handbag is the pink one of the right and the other bag is a green shopper, just like our wedding colors. He's the best!

My coworker Melissa makes darling purses and now she has her own etsy site. Check out CHIPPS Handbags here. She already sold one and she's only had the site since Saturday!
